Spooky Sausage Mummies and Spider Egg Bites

Spooky Sausage Mummies
Ingredients:
• 12 pork sausages
• 1 sheet of ready-made puff pastry
• 1 egg beaten
• Edible eyes
Method:
- Preheat oven to 200C / 180C fan / Gas 6
- Cut the pastry into thin strips about mm wide.
- Wrap the pastry strips around each sausage to give a “mummy” effect.
- Be sure to seal the first wrap around and the last wrap around to keep the pastry in place.
- Brush pastry with egg wash.
- Place on a baking try and bake in oven for 20-25 minutes until pastry and sausages are golden.
- Decorate with edible eyes, or use a drop of mustard for the eyes also!
Spider Egg Bites!
Ingredients:
- 1 sheet of ready-made puff pastry
- 1 egg beaten
- 2tbsp poppy seeds
- 25g grated parmesan cheese

Method:
- Preheat oven to 200C / 180C fan / Gas 6
- Cut discs or Halloween pastry cutter shapes of puff pastry 1” wide and brush with beaten egg.
- Place on a baking tray.
- Sprinkle discs with poppy seeds and a parmesan shavings.
- Bake for 10 minutes until golden.
- Fun Food Kids Activity!
- Get the kids help by adding food colouring to mayonnaise to create fun dips for both above recipes!
- Green, orange and black work great for Halloween!
