Spiced Beef Naan with Cabbage, Onion, Tomato & Horseradish Sour Cream
Ingredients
200g Sirloin
1/2 tsp dried chilli flakes
50ml vegetable oil
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/2 tsp fresh thyme
8 cherry tomatoes
200g Savoy cabbage
Salt & Pepper to taste
1 red or green chilli, sliced
100g sour cream
1tbspn horseradish cream
1 scallion sliced thinly
2 naan bread or Pita Pockets
Method
1. Dice the steak and mix with the oil, chilli flakes, thyme and garlic . Leave overnight or for a minimum of 2 hours
2. Heat a heavy based frying pan and add in the steak pieces. Season well.
3. Cool until sealed all over then remove the steak to some kitchen towels to rest. Using the same pan add in the onion, Chilli and cabbage.
4. Season well and sauté on high for 3 minutes then add in the cherry tomato and cook for a further minute.
5. Mix the sour cream, horseradish and scallion together and set aside. In a separate pan dry heat the naan bread or place in the microwave for 30 seconds.
6. To serve. Spoon the cabbage, onion, tomato and Chilli mixture onto the naan bread and top with the steak.Drizzle over the scallion & horseradish sour cream.
