Ingredients -
· 200g self-raising flour
· 50g unsweetened baking cocoa
· 5g baking soda (1 tsp.)
· 1g salt (1/4 tsp.)
· 225g salted butter, softened
· 210g light brown muscovado sugar
· 110g granulated or caster sugar
· 5mls vanilla extract (1 tsp.)
· 2 large eggs
· 340g dark, milk, or white chocolate chips
· 150g uncooked porridge oats
Method –
1. Pre heat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius.
2. In a medium bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; mix well.
3. In a large bowl, beat butter, sugars and vanilla extract with electric mixer until creamy. Beat in the eggs.
4. Gradually beat in the dry flour mixture. Stir in the chocolate chips and oats.
5. Drop the dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
6. Bake for 8 minutes or until the edges are set but the centres are still soft. Enjoy!
