INGREDIENTS
· 500g Lean Mince
· Glug of Soy Sauce
· 3 Carrots Diced
· 1 Onion diced
· 1 cup petit poi’s
· 1 packet of savoury mince mix
· 2 tbsp Brown Sauce (Chef or HP)
· 1 pack of ready to roll Puff Pastry
· 1 egg or 100mls of milk for the pastry
METHOD
1. Heat a pan with a little oil on a medium heat.
2. Add the mince and fry off until brown (add the glug of soy for extra flavour) or season with salt and pepper.
3. Add in the diced carrot and onion and fry off for 2-3 mins.
4. Mix the savoury mince packet as per instructions and add it into the pan with the mince and vegetables.
5. Simmer for 5-10 mins until it reduces and thickens, add in the petit poi’s and the squeeze of brown sauce and stir through - this gives it an extra savoury layer of taste.
6. Next add the puff pastry to the top (I cut mine into little squares to make it more interesting) you can just roll it out over the top as it is.
7. Give it an egg/milk wash to give it a nice golden glaze when cooked.
8. Oven cook at 180° fan until pastry goes golden - serve and enjoy!
