Stewed Apple and Custard

Joe had a delicious recipe for a budget-busting dessert for the whole family. 

Ingredients

4 cooking apples, peeled, chopped
½ tsp of ground cinamon
4oz of sugar
100ml cream
2 egg yolk
20g sugar

Method

Simply stew apple until soft, add sugar and cinnamon, leave to one side
Heat cream in a separate pot, bring to the boil
Mix egg yolk and sugar over and ban marie to a sabyon
Add 1/3 of heated cream to egg mixture and mix
Place that with remaining cream and place on a moderate heat  and stir continusly until it coats the back of a spoon
In 4  heavy duty glasses or bowls devide the apple, smother with sauce, yum yum
