Virgin Media Discovers 2025 Competition in partnership with Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland is now open for submissions from new/emerging and established filmmakers, writers, and content creators. Virgin Media Television is committed to discovering unique and diverse voices in film and TV, and we are calling for ideas that bring original tales, voices, and untold stories to life. While the main focus of the competition will be the short, proposals should also have the potential to be developed into series. The winners of VM Discovers will premiere at the Dublin International Film Festival 2026.

SUBMISSIONS PROTOCOL
• Submissions must be emailed to: VMDiscovers@virginmedia.ie
• Subject Line should be: VM Discovers 6 – {Name of Submission}
• All submissions MUST include this cover page: download here.
• If submitting multiple proposals, please email each one separately.
• Deadline for Submissions is Midnight on 31st March 2025
Cover page should be filled out and attached along with a PDF document on your proposal which should include all the below elements:
• Logline - what is this project in two or three sentences?
• Detailed story synopsis / story arc – outlining the story/idea for the project & the characters within.
• Why should this project be made? Is there a hook for the audience?
• How your submission meets the theme of being a new, diverse or untold story
• Please include a brief outline (300 - 400 words) of why you think the idea has the potential to be developed into a series.
• Briefly outline previous production experience.
• Include names of any talent (in front of, and behind the camera) attached to the project and be clear about whether these names are suggestions or people who are already involved or committed.
• Line budget.
