Virgin Media Discovers 2024 Competition in partnership with Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland and with the support of the Dublin International Film Festival is now open for submissions from new, emerging / established filmmakers, writers, and content creators. Virgin Media Television is committed to discovering unique voices in film and TV, and we are calling for ideas that bring diverse tales, voices, and stories to life. The theme of Virgin Media Discovers is Diversity & Inclusion and this year the competition is looking for proposals that have the potential to be developed into a series.

SUBMISSIONS PROTOCOL
• Submissions must be emailed to: VMDiscovers@virginmedia.ie
• Subject Line should be: VM Discovers 5 – {Name of Submission}
• All submissions MUST include this cover page: download here.
• If submitting multiple proposals, please email each one separately.
• Deadline for Submissions is Midnight on 31st March 2024
• Cover page should be filled out and attached along with a PDF document on your proposal which should include all the below elements:
• Logline - what is this project in two or three sentences?
• Detailed story synopsis / story arc – outlining the story/idea for the project & the characters within.
• Why should this project be made? Is there a hook for the audience?
• How your submission meets the theme of Diversity & Inclusion.
• Please include a brief outline (300 - 400 words) of why you think the idea has the potential to be developed into a series.
• Briefly outline previous production experience.
• Include names of any talent (in front of, and behind the camera) attached to the project and be clear about whether these names are suggestions or people who are already involved or committed.
• Line budget.
