Ingredients
1 rack of pork ribs
2tsp chinese 5 spice
1tsp Coriander seeds
1/2tsp Smoked garlic powder
1/2tsp Cinnamon
Good pinch of Salt
For the sauce
2tbsp Marmite
1tbsp White wine vinegar
2 tsp 5 spice
2tbsps soy sauce
1tbsp brown sugar
For the salad
2 handfuls of cooked egg noodles
Oil for frying
Sea salt
3 spring onions
1 red chilli
Coriander leaves
Chinese dressing
Method
- Make the rub in the pestle and mortar by combining all the spices and salt. Place the rub over the ribs and massage in. In the oven at 170oc for 1hr
- Make the sauce by placing all the ingredients into a saucepan and simmer until thick. Brian the sauce over the ribs and cook for a further 15mins. You can always come back and brush more sauce on if you like once finished. Tuck in and enjoy.
- For the salsa fry the cooked noodles in the oil until crispy.
- Chop the chilli and spring onion. In a bowl mix the drained crispy noodles, chilli, spring onion and coriander leaves. Drizzle the dressing last second before serving and tuck into the different textures.
